Nottingham’s first fashion week was launched with an alternative fashion festival, unofficially named Sneintonbury.
The Creative Quarter Spotlight on Independent Fashion show took place in the newly refurbished Sneinton Market, showcasing some of Nottingham’s best known indie brands, including Loree Bologna, Angela Vickers and One BC.
But it wasn’t just designers and fashion featuring in the anything-but-traditional catwalk, with dance-offs and guitar solos taking centre stage.
And despite a few hitches, the event on April 22 was well received by the local fashion pack.
We caught up with Steph Robertson, PR manager for the Creative Quarter, and Tony Brack, co-founder of One BC, during the event, who both hope that projects such as this will put Nottingham on the fashion map.
