Boris Johnson has announced that the ending of lockdown planned for 21 June will be delayed by 4 weeks. This means that the last step of the Covid-19 roadmap will now be on July 19.
Capacity limits for sports, pubs and cinemas will remain, and nightclubs will stay closed. 21 June was the final step that would have ended every restriction on social contact, including the current rule of six that applies indoors.
Isobel Pankhurst and Marie Audemard went to the streets of Nottingham to get the public’s opinions on this announcement.
