Kylie Minogue, the Australian singer-songwriter, known for hit songs Love At First Sight, Spinning Around and Can’t Get You Out of My Head, has shared her love of the Padam Padam memes making their rounds on Twitter.

Kylie, 55, teased her upcoming sixteenth studio album Tension, with first single Padam Padam on May 18.

The song was written by Norwegian hitmaker Ina Wroldsen, previously one half of electropop duo Ask Embla.

Ina has also worked with the likes of Shakira, David Guetta and Demi Lovato. Her vocals feature in the 2015 release How Deep Is Your Love, a song that was one of the year’s most streamed/downloaded/played songs worldwide.

The title has confused listeners but its release has become a viral sensation across Twitter and TikTok.

Padam Padam is an onomatopoeic reference to the thud of a heart, but this was not obvious to everyone, with some fans thinking it was a Hunger Games reference.

Kylie super fans on the other hand, caught on to the heartbeat, pointing out that it’s blindingly obvious.

The #padampadam search has received over 13.4 million views on TikTok.

Speaking with ET Canada, Kylie praised fans for their genius meme-making, joking, “Stop it, no don’t stop it.”

Kylie doesn’t recall fans responding like this to previous albums.

“People are so funny and clever and I think it’s only just began,” she said.

Kylie’s album Tension will be released on September 22.
